What is the best email marketing sequence? How often should you send automated marketing emails?



A marketing email sequence is a series of emails that are sent on auto pilot based on a frequency and order which you pre-determine.


Your subscriber will become part of this email marketing sequence, regardless of when they sign up.


But what should this email sequence be?


How often should you send your emails?


A time-based email sequence can work brilliantly if you follow the Fibonacci sequence of numbers, thus:


1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55…


An email sequence like this (also called follow-up emails or autoresponder series) helps you establish a connection with new subscribers, so open rates go up.


Because the gap between emails gets further and further apart it won’t feel like spam to your subscriber.


There is no universal rule when it comes to exactly how many emails you need to have in your email sequence, but I do recommend that you send any emails in the Fibonacci sequence.
