This Is How Much YouTube Pays My Small Finance Channel (YouTube Monetisation)

It has always intrigued me that some people can earn millions by making videos for YouTube. And personally I have always wondered how much money the larger youtube channels actually make! Youtube must be paying a lot right?

Well it depends! Today I am going to explain to you how getting paid on youtube actually works, and I will show you how much this small 1000 subscriber finance youtube channel has made me thus far!

To earn money by making YouTube videos, you first need to monetize your videos in one way or the other… And the Youtube Partner Program is by far the easiest way. Two main requirements: 4000 public watch hours and 1000 subscribers.

Youtube generates its revenue by running ads on the platform! And we creators get a cut from that sweet ad revenue! Around 60% to be precise.

I have found that the average for other youtube channels is well below 5 US Dollars per 1000 views, while I am getting in excess of 11 euros per 1000 views.

Why are my RPM and CPM numbers quite high?

Well, that’s because this youtube channel is about STONKS. Imagine two very distinctive channels, one similar to mine that only talks about stocks… and one that is mainly about trampoline park vlogs…Who would a mature business be more willing to pay for? The one where viewers are at least interested in finances, or the one where the average age of the viewers is below 12 years old?
